OSFC Community Partners
Oldham Sixth Form College has been a big part of the local community for the past 30 years and has enjoyed the support of local businesses and employers.
To support our students to achieve essential employability skills, we believe in fostering strong links with curriculum learning and the world of work, hence our new OSFC Community Partner initiative.
As a Community Partner, you would commit to supporting OSFC in a way that prepares our young people for the workplace. You may do this by offering a work placement, scheduling a talk or presentation, inviting students into your workplace, or even contributing to the curriculum, by setting work based projects that link to their subjects.
To evidence your support, you will be awarded the OSFC Community Partner logo that you can display on your website, social media, letterhead etc. Recognition of this kind is invaluable in evidencing your CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities which can help gain new business and clients, especially when bidding for local and central government contracts.

The OSFC Community Partner Launch on Thursday 7th March was well attended by local businesses and also included a few existing partners.
Positive discussions were had with employers, sharing ideas around the student work experience opportunities benefiting both the business and student. All displayed keen interest to invest time in making the experience meaningful and work with the college in shaping Oldham’s future workforce.
We agreed to create a Community Partner Page on the OSFC website and also announced that our college is available to host business events during the student holidays should this be of interest. OSFC is perfectly placed in the centre of Oldham with a variety of functional meeting rooms and a lecture theatre which seats 280!
